Enrique Etienne Pérez del Río
He received his bachelor´s in accounting by Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in September 1963. In 1964, he joined the public service in the general treasury office in Tamaulipas, where he worked as general accountant.
In 1967, he designed and founded the Commerce and Administration School (FCAV in spanish) in Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas, being its first director. He continued as director until 1978 and without leaving the teaching activities as professor in accounting degree classes.
Under his leadership, the FCAV was the first institution of the University that create the master´s degree with its own resources. In 1979, he received the master's degree in management (MBA) from Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas and the following year became Professor of the Division of Master´s Studies in the FCAV.
During the 1980's, he occupied some positions in the general treasury office in Tamaulipas. He managed the tax department and later, became the revenue director. At the mid-point and until 1990 was advisor in the Fiscal Coordination area in Leon, Coahuila, Chihuahua, Durango, Hidalgo, Tlaxcala, Guerrero and Quintana Roo.
In 1984 he was appointed Dean of his school. In 1986, the University Council named him extraordinary professor and awarded him with the Medal "Miguel Azomoza Arronte". Later, in 1992, he received the "University Merit". Also, he was the president of the Executive Council of the Public Accountants College in Victoria, which he is a founding member.
During the local elections of 1995 and 1998 he served as president of the Electoral Council in Victoria, and in the federal elections between 1997 and 2000 he was electoral advisor by the District 05 in Tamaulipas. In 2000, he was named president in the Electoral Institute of Tamaulipas, a position that he occupied for six years.
For his exemplary career, he was named as Secretary of Finance in Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas in 2011. His contributions in this position have been recognized by the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit, as well as other federal agencies.
On December 7, 2013 he protested as Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas´s rector for the period 2014-2017.
